QSW’s Digital Transformation Journey to Achieve Better Collaboration

Qatar Social Work (QSW) is a selfless organization that works for the welfare of Qatari community by fostering various services, such as family stability, youth empowerment, special care for disabled and elder people, etc. They had eight specialized centers to address complex issues, such as domestic violence, divorce, welfare of orphan children, etc. They wanted to streamline various operations, better collaboration among team members across eight centers, and reduce technical and operational burden.

Challenge:

  • As they deal with critical personal information of people, they wanted to emphasize more on security and governance.
  • They wanted to streamline their operations to facilitate QSW workers to improve efficiency and productivity during Covid-19 when they were working remotely.
  • They wanted better team collaboration through seamless communication to improve cohesiveness among team members. Earlier, they used to communicate through phone calls and emails, with restricted file-sharing capacities.

Solution and Impact:

  • We eliminate redundancies first by analyzing their technical infrastructure. We migrated the infrastructure to Azure Cloud and centralized it to reduce operational costs and alleviate maintenance. We reduced operational costs by 75% compared to previous years.
  • We introduced robust Microsoft tools, such as Microsoft Planner, OneDrive, and Microsoft Teams to improve operational efficiency.
  • With Microsoft 365 products, such as Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint, they can collaborate more efficiently and seamlessly and work together to fulfill community welfare goals.

Future Goals:

  • QSW intends to further its digital transformation journey by adopting D365 Sales and Customer Service as its primary business application across all centers.
